Lack of Knowledge or Lack of Faith?

When it comes to developing a skill-set, or assembling a website and managing your SEO, of course there may be others out there more qualified than you and could me of assistance. There are also times when only you can know what is best for you and what you are in need of the most. There are two types of knowing. The first is the obvious type, the ones where somebody understands the use of HTML and coding and you need that level of expertise. This goes along with all the other experts we need in our daily lives from car mechanics to plumbers, builders to midwives. There are times when certain people in specific areas are most definitely needed.
But do not go mistaking experts as being needed in every area of your life. The second type of knowing is the one held within you. The knowing that tells you not to walk down that path late at night, the one that lets you know that you love doing that certain something. The knowing that draws you closer to a person that somehow you innately know is good for your soul.
These are two very distinctly different types of knowing and more often then not, we defer the second style of knowing to others on the outside who you have decided are better experts on you then you. And here’s the rub. No one outside of you knows what’s best for you like you. You have and will always be the best and most bespoke expert on you that you will ever come across. It is the same part of you that knows when there is something wrong with your body that tells you to make a doctors appointment. It is the very same you that knows you want to share a part of you through your artistic creations that bears the creativity to do so.
There is nothing wrong in seeking help in areas when you need them; but you are deferring the biggest gift you have available within you when you put that power in the hands of others and ask them to lead you to the best possible life you could be living.
